Precautions for Facial Cleansing

by Martha Adams

We clean our face every morning and before going to bed at night. Facial cleansing can help us wash away the dust and bacteria in the air sticking to our face, as well as the oil secreted by our skin and toxins discharged from the pores. There are many precautions when cleaning your face. Let's talk about it.

1. Facial Cleanser

Facial cleanser can only be used twice a day. You can't use it more than twice. Remember to use a gentle facial cleanser in the morning. Before applying it on your face, you should use a foaming net or rub bubbles on your hands, otherwise the active agent will wear the skin.

2. Number of Times

It is best to use it once in the morning and once in the evening. If it is used too many times, it will cause abnormal sebum secretion.

Some people have dry skin. And they may feel that their skin is free of . So, they do not wash their faces in the morning. However, it is recommended that you use a small amount of facial cleanser to clean T-zone. It can prevent blackheads. It can clean off the skin care products that were not absorbed the night before. And it can be beneficial to skin care and makeup in the morning.

3. Skin Quality

It is important to choose the right cleanser according to your skin quality. Skin can be divided into two categories according to skin quality. One is oily skin and the other is dry skin.

Dry skin is divided into dry skin with desquamation and dry skin without desquamation. Oily skin is divided into oily skin with clogged pores and oily skin without clogged pores. There are four sub-categories.

Dry Skin with Desquamation

This condition indicates that the skin lacks moisture retention. And the lipid between sebum membrane and glial cells has been destroyed. So, it should not be degreased. It is recommended not to use facial cleansing products.

Dry Skin Without Desquamation

This condition indicates that the stratum corneum has not been completely destroyed. Only the skin moisturizing ingredients or sebum membrane are missing. So, the degreasing products used cannot have strong degreasing power.

Oily Skin Without Clogged Pores

For this kind of skin, many people will choose products with strong degreasing power. They feel clean after washing their face. However, even for oily skin, strong degreasing products are not recommended. Amino acid type can be selected.

Oily Skin with Clogged Pores

The cleaning strength of products with general degreasing power is not enough. In order to prevent pores from blocking and causing acne and other problems, you can choose products with stronger degreasing power. For example, SLES or soap-based type. The degreasing power of the two is strong. So, you should pay attention to the use method.

4. Water Temperature

It is best to wash your face with water temperature similar to your body temperature.

Although hot water has good cleaning power, it will destroy sebum membrane and make skin fragile. Cold water can shrink pores, but it can also shrink capillaries. And red blood streaks will form on the face. So, using warm water to wash your face will have minimal damage to the facial skin.

5. Cleansing Products

People with sensitive skin should choose products with weak acidity, no sensitizing preservative and no perfume.

After cleansing, you should use toner to clean the skin again. In particular, toner is helpful to reduce skin oil production, shrink pores and reducing acne.
