#2 Applying primer
If your make-up always starts off looking great but then slowly deteriorates after the first hour, a primer is what you need. This simple step - applied after skin care and before make-up - not only helps your foundation last longer, but assists in filling in your lines and pores for a smoother surface. If you often experience shine or an oily T-zone, a primer can also help to mattify the skin, so you can go longer without blotting!
#3 Eyes first, foundation second
This tip just requires one small change to the order you apply your make-up. Applying your eye make-up first means any eyeliner mistakes or eyeshadow fallout will be a breeze to clean up, and won’t affect the rest of your make-up. Have you ever tried to erase an eye make-up mistake, only to result in muddy-looking foundation? Well by applying your foundation after, this becomes less of an issue and your foundation can be applied freshly onto clear skin. #4 Fill in those brows!
No matter what look you’re going for (even if it’s a ‘no make-up’ make-up look), filling in your brows will make the biggest difference. There are so many products available now that make doing this a breeze and once you get the hang of it, it takes no time at all.
