10 Easter Nails You Can Wear to Work on Monday

by Martha Adams

Leave the bunnies and peeps in the Easter basket; there's a sophisticated way to celebrate Easter (or spring!) on your nails. Embrace the season with pastel polishes, eggshell-inspired topcoats and cool nail art you can wear anywhere—and apply anytime, depending on whether you have a few minutes or the patience it takes to decorate an easter egg. No need to start with a clean palette the next day, you'll want these manicures to last all week long.

Easy: Pastel Polish

This barely there pink will get your nails ready for spring. Wear one coat of Julep Color Treat in Fifi ($14) for darker tones and layer on two to three for fairer complexions.

Easy: Pastel Polish

Essie Nail Polish in Blossom Dandy ($9) is a blue-green hybrid that warms up any skin tone and adds the perfect pop of color.

Easy: Pastel Polish

Eggshell has never been prettier. Deborah Lippmann Nail Lacquer in Misty Morning ($18) adds subtle glow to tan or darker complexions.

Easy: Pastel Polish

Lancome Vernis in Love in Gris Rivoli $15) is a subtle shade that tows the line between a pastel and a classic pink (and it's universally flattering).

Intermediate: Eggshell Topcoat

Dior Blossoming Top Coat ($28) is more about texture than sparkle. Pair this topcoat with a soft sheer yellow to draw out the canary specks.

Intermediate: Eggshell Topcoat

Nails Inc Cherry Garden Street 's ($15) opaque glitter resembles just fallen flower petals. Go soft by pairing it with a white undercoat or bold with bright pink one.

Intermediate: Eggshell Topcoat

This sequined baby blue top coat is bold enough to wear solo (and year round). If layering NCLA Enchanted City ($16), pair it with a lilac to highlight the polish's touch of purple.

Advanced: Nail Art

For JINsoon 's wavy nail art, start with two coats of a light grey, like JINsoon Doux ($18) on each nail. Next use a bright plum, like JINsoon Farouche ($18) to draw an "M" shape at the cuticle, filling it in. Then reverse the shape at the free edge. Use a thin brush to mimic the "M" shape just above the filled-in designs.

Advanced: Nail Art

Paintbox 's simple design is reminiscent of an Easter egg half-dipped in dye. After applying a clear base coat, paint half way up the nail using a thin brush and finish with spots along the bottom using a dotting tool.

Advanced: Nail Art

Start this JINsoon manicure with two coats of white polish, such as JINsoon Kookie White ($18). After applying to each nail, use a thin brush to draw intersecting lines in a darker color across nails for a cracked-shell effect.
